Workshop Note
The former city terminal for the railway to Saltsjöbaden. The art nouveau building was opened in 1914 and included the head office of the railway company and the residence of its CEO. Between 1942 and 2008 it was used as the Sailor's Institute (that's what the neon sign says: 'Sjömansinstitutet').
In the glass building next door I spent my last years before retiring. The news agency where I worked occupies one floor. By coincidence I started my "career" decades earlier at a weekly magazine on the top floor of the grey building beside the glass palace.
This area is now overwhelmed by the chaos surrounding the construction of a new sluice system between lake Mälaren and the sea.
