Chapada Diamantina - "Diamantina Highlands"

The "Diamantina highlands" or "Diamond Highlands of Bahia" located in the center of the Northeastern state of Bahia.

This mountain range separate the smaller coastal river systems from the large São Francisco River Valley that drains a good part of the interior of Brazil.

Consists of table mountains and swampy valleys, forests and highlands dotted with beautiful waterfalls and magic caves with blue water and swimming holes.
