Intro: Hi! I'm new to this photography lark and am trying to learn how to take good photos. I don't want to just take any old photo, I would love to take great images which capture the viewers imagination.

Since I was a kid, I've always had an interest in photography and was fascinated by my dad's "big" camera which I eventually learned was an SLR. Have always used a normal film point and shoot camera but recently, thought it was time to take the plunge and get myself a digital camera. Not that familiar with technicalities but I'm sure I'll get to know them.

Since a friend introduced me to TE, it's my friend's fault that photography has become a much bigger part of my life. As I'm based in Leicester in the UK, I aim to show people everyday scenes in this city as well as learn how to take photos as well.

ANY IDEAS/ADVICE/COMMENTS WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!
