Hi,
As you requested i tried to make a workshop of your photo. I think the graniness has bean removed or rather almost erased. I used Neat Image to do it.
Then as i've written on my comment, i cropped the picture.
Hope you'll like !

N.B.: About the graininess that you get sometimes, i think that may comes from the number of pixels of the pictures.

I selected the sky and altered its color by changing hue and saturation. Then i selected the church and adjusted a little bit the levels. Finally, i removed some noises that my changes had made using, median.
