Hi neighbor!

I have been traipsing around wheat and barley fields all summer trying to emulate these type images that you do so well. So far I have failed but this is another one for me to enjoy and strive for. The yellow against blue color combination is always a winner but the pristine stillness and sharpness in the foreground is what draws me in. It makes me want to run my hands through the wheat like Russell Crowe in the movie Gladiator.

The moment I opened the thumbnail..........I excalimed"What a horizon"
Canon has got the colours and sharpness but Nikon also prouduces great colours, this was not known to me.
Christophe, this is arts.............wiht beautiful, bold and strong framing.
Just two colours,,,but a number of tones from the same colour and you have weaved a colourful feild of wheat.

La première image que je vois au D700 et je dois dire qu'elle est lumineuse et équilibrée.

Nice depth all the way from a macro to the sky. I like how the picture is basically just two surfaces with different textures. Nice position of the horison a bit above center, going for 2/3´s maybe?

I haven't seen your photos much lately because i keep forgetting to check photos from other places as well as the UK!
I wish i could get my wheatfields to look as good as this, but it never works!

Une composition simple mais très bien construite. La profondeur de champ joue ici un rôle important dans la réussite de cette image. Les couleurs saturées sont parfaites.

Hello Christophe,

Nicely graphical this one! The blueish clouds at the top do not entirely convince. Guess it's mainly due to the whites having turned a bit too blue-grey due to the gradual grey.
But still an interesting posting!
