Photographer's Note

Yesterday, I decided to go to Beyoglu, also known as " Pera " because I realized it was changing so fast, and it was high time update my archive of this part of Istanbul. I revisited the famous St. Antoine church, and found out that there were a lot of black people inside and out in the courtyard. St: Atoine is magnificent neo gothic cathedral size church built in the traditional venetian style around 1910.
It seems as if the courtyard has become a gathering place for these african visitors. In the past we saw them in European cities, selling hats, souvenirs and bags, looks as if we are becoming european too.
