Photographer's Note
# 3
Lifting heavy sack of corn to transfer them to the truck waiting outside the factory. The factory was hot as a furnace even on a charming Autumn evening.
Series:Poultry food manufacturing factory
During my last visit to Kolkata, I visited a poultry food factory owned by a friend of mine. The food mainly consists of corn sparsely mixed with other grains. We were there for about 15 minutes which gave me the opportunity to take a few shots.

Namaste Prantik.Labourers make dramatic shots by the nature of their actions and sinewy bodies. This shot has been given extra power due to the beams of light and the inclusion of the fan in the composition.Revealing note too, warts and all. Regards. Klaudio.

The colour version is good as it is, but I just have this feeling that a B&W conversion would be nice too...good continuation...and that streak of light does add drama to the photograph..how much time did you get to shoot in the factory complex..

Hi Prantik. Though a good shot no doubt, but honestly I was concentrating more on your note. Beautifully articulated the pulse of the city that never dies. Standing at any street junction of this city all alone for hours together, I never felt lonely. A city of all oddities but still so vibrant. TFS. Regards.

Hello Prantik,
Looking at this shot, I can just imagine the dusty smell in the air here. The light is just wonderful. The fact that this is hard labour is clearly visible.
It's a nice series you're building up here with various angles looking at the history and at todays city. Thanks!!
Greetings,
Dennis

Hi Prantik,
I love the beams of light streaming through the windows and onto the workers in action. The old fan in the forground is great too and adds a wonderful element to the shot. Nicely captured details and textures in the factory. Out of all your shots in this poultry food factory I like this one the best.

Prantik,
This is really strong documentation of the toiling workers. The rays of light filtering through the windows and shining on the workers, combined with the industrial fan and the gazillion sacks, make this an impressive photo!

hi prantik,
hard working gentlemen here! i like the rays of sunlight peeping through the windows and the scattered corn kernels all over. the antique electric fan, half its image is an added awe. light management gives this capture a more vivid appeal.
