Photographer's Note
#2
Labourers getting instruction from the business owner who is paying them a short visit from the city. The factory is locatated in Howrah, a suburb outisde Kolkata.
Series:Poultry food manufacturing factory
During my last visit to Kolkata, I visited a poultry food factory owned by a friend of mine. The food mainly consists of corn sparsely mixed with other grains. We were there for about 15 minutes which gave me the opportunity to take a few shots.

Very eyecatchin with those shafts of light pouring into this hall. The scene as well, with the workers paying attention to the "boss" is also captivating.
A great capture of daily life. How did you manage to get in here?

Again another very apt follow up from your last photograph. It's good to see someone attempting to represent/showcase factories from the Howrah district..usually these don't have any face..if you know what I mean..and yes the light is what catches you first when you open the thumbnail...beautiful..the difference between the boss and the workers..is clearly evident..the body languages..nice one Prantik..

Hi Prantik,
I must say that the series on which you are working on presently is unique. I don't think I have ever seen any posts on this particular thing. It is a very nice and praiseworthy attempt. Quality of the photo is beautiful. The light coming throgh the windows are really beautiful to look at.

Great game of light Prantik. This is the perfect candidate for a striking b&w conversion. But I am glad you stick to your wonderful color treatment. I like the wide feeling of this one and tri-dimensionalism of the scene. The poultry sacs do feel heavy. A great exposure of a very good moment. Like this one a lot.

Hi Prantik
A great slice of daily life, although they must have been aware of your presence, the image is obviously natural. Great POV and use of the light coming in through the windows.

hello Prantik,
Great photo and very interesting to follow as documentary too. I like the play with the lightbeam and the monotone colours of the factory.

A very good one in a documentary style Prantik. To focus on the relation between labourers and the business owner, you should get closer in order to underline how the gestures are different, the one who has shoes whereas the others do not, the regards etc (well... all the things I’m not able to photograph!:o))).

I think I like this one the best. Probably because of those two big stomachs, clearly identifying the workers from the bosses. A really lovely set of pictures...strange, but each one is nice - not boring although you uploaded them one after the other. There is a nice continuation in the 6images so far. (must admit I'm not so taken by the last one.
You managed the light just beautifully. And you seem to be slightly de-saturating your pictures. I really like the results - its your own unique stamp, which is has very nice results.
I'd like to know what they are talking about.
