hi tom

awesome positioning here. it's a very natural moment. there must be a lot going on outside the window for the boys to be all looking in different directions. my one tiny criticism would be a straightening... or is that my aging eyes? :)

Il ya un element "hors du temps" dans tes portraits d'Asie, Tom, celui-ci datant de ta periode D70... Ca me rappelle de facon tres positive certains travaux Francais d'ethnographie sdes annees '30. La qualite des tons est extraordinaire, ainsi que la variete des regards.

Salut Tom,
as tight a frame as can be, and with what delicate composition, with the triad of these young monks against a dark interior as they look out of the circular opening. Very nicely conceived, lovely shot with great tonality.

Very nice composition. I like the dark background behind the boys and the half circular opening in the foreground. I also like the way you captured the boys all looking at different directions.

Hi Tom,

Old textures of woods as a window frame are increasing your photos value with its rounded shape. I like your model’s spectacular poses and dark background too because gives clever focus to gentlemen. Congratulations.

I must say, an excellent composition! B&W was the right choice for this photograph. The only criticism would be the amount of space at the top of the photo. There should be a little more space above the boys heads. Other than that, a great photo!

Photo sans âge, éternelle. trois, le chiffre magique et ce cadre elliptique rajoute un élément insolite à cette très belle image.

The wood is so crisp and the children seem quite comfortable. Good job getting them to "not pose" for the camera. It would be nice to know in the note why the boys are there.

Superbe triple (!) portrait! J'aime bcp la pose de chacun de ces novices, tres naturelle, sur le vif, vrai. J'aime tout particulierement ton cadrage, qui inclue une grande partie de ce paneau de bois qui occupe une grande partie de ta photo mais qui nous montre bien l'environement quotidien de ces jeunes moines.
Ton traitement B&W est superbe... les textures sont rendues magnifiquements... bravo!!

Hi Tom, nice framing of the three novices. Intersting that they are perched so high in the canvas, leaving much room for the textured wooden monastry. Lovely tones.

J’en ai presque ras le bol de saliver sur tes B&W, c’est tellement beau que ca me fout une tonne de complexes !
La compo, l’ange et les attitudes me satisfont entièrement !

j'avais raté celle ci entre autres... je vais jeter un vrai oeil sur ta galerie.. J'aime vraiment bcp la lumière et la sérénité du petit moine de droite. excellent travail du noir et blanc! tu deviens un vrai pro!

les 3 O à l'intérieur du O c'est très bon
j'ajouterai même que c'est complètement boudhiste
j'entend d'ici le OMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmm
une belle atmosphère spirituelle
et un super noir & blanc dont j'ignore encore les secret.
Je fais un petit tour histoire de connaitre l'actualité de chacun avant Jeudi.
