Photographer's Note

Taken at Lake Minnewanka near Banff, Alberta. The mountains and scenery in this area of Alberta are beautiful! Minnewanka means "Lake of the Spirits" The lake was dammed in 1912 to store water for a downstream hydro-electric plant; which increased the total lake area by 50% and raised the water level by 25 meters, creating the largest lake in Banff National Park.
