Photographer's Note

St. Ives is a seaside town in southwest Cornwall that was formerly dependent upon its fishing industry. As fishing declined, the town has gained prominence as a holiday resort. There is a lively colony of artists resident in the town and in 1993 a branch of the famous Tate Gallery opened as the Tate St. Ives here.
