Photographer's Note
There are many small areas around Shanghai where the buildings date back from the Communist regime, back to an era far back, in another world it would seem. Most of these buildings will soon be destroyed to make place for imposing and impersonal skyscrapers built in the rush to modernise Shanghai...
This is one of those areas in the downtown part of Shanghai where some people already have started to be evicted, others are squatting in houses left in shambles...
I'm usually more of a photojournalistic style photographer, but this is definitely more like a documentary photographer's take on it...

Excellent work. This is a very dynamic scene with the parallel walls really pulling the eye into the picture, and showing off the real depth. The man walking out of the scene and the woman loitering just inside the scene make it even more interesting.
Brilliant light and a really gritty feel. Good work.

Great POV and I like how you caught the ppl in motion and their placement in the frame.
Nice BW work as well.
