Photographer's Note
It was a very clear and mild night so I drove to Avebury with a friend for a drink in the pub shown. Unfortunately i didn't have a tripod with me, but managed to find some fence posts. I have just got a new camera and have never tried this light effect before so just gave it a go. There weren't too many cars travelling through, but I pressed go when i heard one coming and hoped that it drove all the way around the s bend. On this shot I was lucky enough to have two pass at the same time, something that at this time of night seemed quite rare.

A nice relationship and connection between the pre-occupations of modern people and the pre-occupations of our ancient ancestors. Avebury has always been special to me since I was a kid and I think this is a really interesting idea for photographing the place!
Avebury rings!

Hi Russell,
Well captured, especially considering you had no tripod. The lights from the pub are pretty much over-exposed here though, don't know what you could have done about that though. The curves from the lights are nice, I like how they stretch through the whole picture.
