Palazzo dei Priori - Perugia
In the photo two of the icons of Perugia, the Palazzo dei Priori, one of the best examples in Italy of a public palace from the communal age, and the Fontana Maggiore designed in the Gothic style, between 1275 and 1278, by Nicola Pisano and his son Giovanni , with the collaboration of frà Bevignate da Cingoli for the architectural part, by Rosso Perugini for the bronze upper part, by Boninsegna Veneziano for the hydraulic part.

The buildings by the square are magnificent and the large fountain is also impressive. The people in the foreground enliven the view and you processed the photo well.

Hi Silvio,
Lovely view of this city square with obviously very old buildings next to it. Direction of light is not the best possible as the walls are in shadow. But all details are well visible anyway.

I have been in Rome 4 times and in various towns in Toscane, but never in Perugia (or Assisi). this photo tells me to make a trip to Umbria as well. Wonderful photoz.

A great view of this sunny square, I really like the play of light and shadows around the surrounding buildings, which are very beautiful and elegant. The people add a nice mood as well.

The square seems to be a pedestrian paradise.
Very good because there are so many beautiful buildings to admire.
Beautiful detail of the fountain in the WS.
Another wonderful detail are the arches in your main photo, where the two cars are parked.

Hello Silvio, I have been to Perugia and this is the part of the town that I remember best.
We were only there for a short time unfortunately.
Excellent point of view, the Palace and the fountain taking a prominent place in the composition.

Beautiful square with amazing stylish fountain.
Very elegant area, all buildings around the square are elegant old and well preserved.
People sitting on the stairs in the foreground add some life to the scene. We feel a part of that group of tourists, with them we enjoy the beautioful view of the town,

This is a charming plaza. The ancient buildings are pretty and so is the fountain. It is a shame the fountain is fry and fenced off.
