Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

I really liked these pieces of art; they looked good, were very useful to visitors and provided a place for extensive views into the valley.

The five specially commissioned wooden chairs – some as high as seven feet – can be seen in the Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park at Grewelthorpe near Ripon.

This group of chairs – called Contemplation Circle – has been sculpted by wood artist, Liam O’Neill, from Co. Galway who was among the first artists to develop outdoor, turned wood sculptures.

The people enjoying the seats looked like a close group of friends; in fact, they told me they had only just met, when they were testing the comfort of the chairs. That has to be a good recommendation for their success.

Have a good w/e, Bev :-)
