Photographer's Note
Tsar Bell is the largest of the world with 200 tons. It is positioned at side of the Bell tower I posted before and not far from that big cannon.
In 1701 the bell tower got fire and the bell fell down and they decided to produce a larger using the pieces of the old one, it was being produced again, positioned inside a hole surrounded by a timber structure, when another big fire occurred in 1737 and the timber structure where the bell was being finalized was hit by the fire and they throw cold water on the hot bell and it was broken.
I like this image because looks like I cut out the broken piece of the bell and the woman using a scissors and glued it again in the photo.
.............
O Sino do Czar é o maior do mundo, pesando 200 toneladas.

Hello Jorge,
It's an original bell. Usually people's mistakes are not shown in public like this, but I guess they like to tell the strange story behind the crack. I think the woman is actually taking a selfie or checking up FB. Whatever she is doing she is well placed. She makes the photo more entertaining.
Best regards,
Gert

Jorge, amazing huge bell, to carry it here was difficult. The broken piece makes a nice photographic subject. It becomes a tourist attraction nowadays, people like taking selfies in front of it. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hello Jorge, it seems that the giant bell was doomed, maybe it was just too big!
An excellent picture where the young woman is perfectly placed to give us a true idea of the scale of this enormous bell.
Learning that it was made so long ago, I wonder how it was lifted up into a tower without the use of modern cranes?
I also wonder what it sounded like when it was rung.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Oi Jorge,
Belo registro.
Parabéns e abraço
Ricardo

Hi Jorge
It does almost look like you'd photo-shopped the broken piece of the bell and the woman. In any case a good and interesting photo of a feature I somehow missed seeing.
cheers

Bonjour, cher Jorge,

Hi Jorge,
tsar cannon and now tsar bell :)
Yes the whole is the main interest and as you wrote it does look a bit as if you cut this fragment out with a photoshop.
The weather was not great so the colors lost a bit of saturation, but I have certainly never seen a fragment of a bell like that!
Great reportage,
M

Hi Jorge,
A nice sharp photo of an interesting subject. The weather is a bit dull, but the woman makes the picture more interesting, and adds a scale that enables us to see just how big this bell is. And as you say, it does look like you cut out part of the photo and moved it. It is ironic that the largest bell in the world has never been rung.
