I like the detail in this photo. The plum tree buds and the Finch feathers. These day we have rain, almost constantly, a brief break brought out the wild birds and through the window this image I liked best for today. Thanks for viewing - David

Beautiful photo of this bird, nice soft colors and bokeh, even the photo is a bit noisy, it's a very nice view, interesting composition with this branch and these flowers, tfs.

Hello David,

This is a fine photograph of the finch.
Its beak is so distinctive. In fact, it looks very much like a crossbill.
The bird is nicely positioned in the frame and I would suspect that you have cropped this from a bigger shot.

This w/e it is the 'Big Bird Count' in the U.K., where we watch and count local birds for one hour. The results are sent to the RSPB so that they can monitor which birds are thriving and which are in decline.
