Photographer's Note

This is the Chapel of Nossa Senhora das Vitorias located on the shores of Lake Furnas on the island of São Miguel in the Azores.

In a neo-Gothic style, unique in the archipelago, it was built at the end of the 19th century at the request of José do Canto (1820-1898), an illustrious Azores native who had a taste for literature and botany, and who is buried there.

Une très belle église dans son décor verdoyant . L'humidité doit être importante dans le secteur , à voir l'état de la pierre , ce qui en fait aussi le charme.

So hitorical and precious church is set up in the great framewrok. Surrounding flowers play so important role. Very fresh and comfortable shot taken in Summer, greatly tile posting in this cold and cloudy time.
