Photographer's Note

This location is near the famous place shown on the backside of the 20Yuan-Bill some 30km from Yangshuo. There is an island in the middle of the river, where people take wedding pictures or pictures with paid fishermen.

Hello Peter,
An agreeable composition with much to commend it. Very well exposed with excellent colours and clarity. The threatening sky makes a good foil for the tree covered pinnacles.

What a lovely peaceful place to be with those amazing shaped karst formations almost dominating the whole scene giving a nice sense of scale. Specks of vivid colour on the water are vital components to hook the eyes, while the marriage of grey and green tones matches the atmosphere pretty well. Great work Peter, you've really brought out the detail, clarity and natural colour to your very best as seen thru the lens. Congrats
