Photographer's Note
Over the 202 kilometres length of the Rideau Canal, there is a system of 49 locks, employed to manage water levels, thereby enabling boats to make progress. I have read that each lock has certain unique characteristics. There are those people, who in the summer months, enjoy spending their vacation travelling through the canal; especially one that is designated a National Historic Site, a Canadian Heritage River, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This view is just to the east of Parliament Hill.
