A little Fortress, a photo from Nord-Pas-de-Calais, North

Photographer's Note

A long time ago that I took a picture (landscape
picture), so I was happy with my weekend France.

For more dynamic I used this time two ND grad filters
(with a 4 stops Grad) and a little extra contrast, I
hope you like it.

Hello Robert,

You have processed the photograph very well.
The colours in the sky are unexpected, yet very beautiful, adding mood to the scene.
I like your use of the walkway, leading to the fortress, which is strongly textured, with a roof rich in depth of colour.

Dag Robert,

Inderdaad lang geleden dat ik nog eens een werk van zag.
Maar als gewoonlijk weer een uitgekiend werk, dit type fort is unieke, er zijn nog meer in Frankrijk.
U brengt het heel mooi op 1/3 zoals het hoort verticaal, de kleuren en samenstelling zijn opnieuw professioneel naar voor gebracht.
Een ding spijtig, maar niet uw fout dat er geen schapen wolken waren, maar dit is fantasie!
Heel mooi foto werk, bedankt

Een prachtige foto van een bijzondere plak. Een bunker met een huisje erop. De bewoner doet dat zonder meer in 'splendid isolation'.
Mooie compositie in goede sterke kleuren.

BOnjour Robert,

J'aime beaucoup la technique de longue exposition utilisée dans cette composition. Probablement le résultat de l'utilisation d'un filtre foncé. J'aime surtout la texture des nuages qui donne un aspect dramatique à l'ensemble.

Mooi pov, met de weg die naar het fortje leidt. De PP is precies goed, méér zou (naar mijn smaak) overdreven zijn. Ook de saturatie van de kleuren (zeker het rood van de daken) zit perfect tegen de limiet. Knap werkje.

Hi Robert,

From this picture, I know I have a lot to learn, in term of photography. Photographers like this kind of cloudy weather. it made the picture more enjoyable.

PS: I have been to Holland (also France) not long ago. It’s not on mainland in Europe, but an island in the Caribbean. I bet more Americans set foot on this place than Dutch. When I was there I was thinking there are a lot of TE members from France, but only few from Netherlands.
