Photographer's Note
On my way to Lazarim I decided to stop to visit this old village I wanted to visit for a long time - Anta de Mazes. Just like Lazarim, this one is also situated in the Montemuro Mountain and it's a very old village where we can see around 50 old typical houses, originally built by the shepherds. Some have been kept and rebuilt but most part is already in ruins. The old thatched roofs are almost all gone and they were replaced by tiles or even tin roofs but the rest is still there, we just need to explore the place and discover each little detail of the old granite houses. The view is amazing but the climate is usually very harsh here. However, it was a very beautiful winter day to spend a few hours there.

Hello Ana
The old stone village is certainly intriguing and was worth the stop. Excellent density levels that have given punchy light contrasts as well as ideal saturation and clean white with solid blacks. I like the ^ shape of the red tile roof at left. It contrasts well agaisnt the blue sky too. Tfs.

Hi Ana
You should be the United nations envoy for abandoned places, I really really want to see this place. Another beauty of a shot. While we can see the shapes of the old homes quite clearly, it is also very aparant that nature is claiming them back, making the buildings look almost like natural caves. Wonderful light too which brings the textures through beautifully
Cheers

Hello Ana,
Good view over this charming barn in decay. Remarkable elements are the windmills in the background against the beautiful deep blue sky.
Thanks and regards,
Gerrit

Hello Ana,
Nice surrounding/buildings. A pol. filter is
a nice tool, but try this kind of pictures
also without that filter (be careful that
you wil not drop the filter), because without
the pol. filter the sky whould be more equal blue
and not dark up and light below. The pol. is
very nice by surroundings with water and try
also with and without it (and also be careful).
For the rest the light management is good,
also the composition.
Friendly regards,
Robert
