Wine growing region of Mosel is a haven for old tractors. As small and lightweight they suit well for harvest work between vines. And rest of the year they are on light use, so they keep on going virtually forever.

Hello Kari,

One year ago I has more that 70 old tractors can photographing during a demonstration.
This was real very pleasant also a talk with the owners.
Lovely composition, splendid presentation.

Wonderfull "portrait" of this oldie ! I've seen many old cars here but the first time a tractor most probably still in use.

Hello Kari!

I am afflicted with a fascination for old machinery, especially autos, trucks, and tractors. Not surprisingly, I have never heard of Fendt, so I can only guess at the vintage of this old workhorse -- 1930s? 1950s? It doesn't matter -- your foto demonstrates the universal truth of farmers and their tools. I say this proudly (and with some inside knowledge), as my mother's family is wheat farmers in Kansas. Farmers will keep their machinery in good running condition and use it until it cannot be used any more. It appears there are still many years of use left for old Fendt here!

So amazing baby tractor, it makes me smile, he looks like a cartoon hero )) I think this topic is not so popular on the TE, but I like this photo. very curious and very informative post. Two days ago I have seen a movie, when an actor used very small John Deere, your photo reminds me that scene.
