Photographer's Note

The Tatoosh Range is a designated protected wilderness area just south of Mount Rainier in Washington State. This view is from across the White River Valley above the clouds. One detail I found interesting in this image is that, if you look closely in the foreground, on the forest floor, you can see a green meadow with long early-morning shadows from trees.

o Exposure Bias: -2.
o Filter: Circular polarizer.
o Focal length: 20mm.
o Lens: Nikkor 12-24mm F-4-5.6 G ED IF DX zoom.
o Tripod: Yes.
o Other: Underexposed by two stops in order to preserve cirrus cloud detail. Darker areas brought to life via tone mapping in post processing.
