Photographer's Note
Cres is the administrative capital of the island of Cres. It is the only village on the island which has a municipal law and has been since 1332. City owes its development to move to the capital of the island in 1459 during the reign of Venice, survived numerous historic buildings of the time. After the fall of the Venetian Republic, Cres, together with the entire island became part of the Austrian Empire, and in the years 1918-1944 it belonged to Italy.
Actually, only here you can make more purchases, withdraw money from an ATM or fill up the car. City attracts numerous monuments: the three city gates, Venetian tower, the town hall, the palace Arsan, Church of Our Lady of the Snows, etc.
Cres has three well-preserved city gates of the Venetian: Bragadin, Marcell, Saint. Mikula from the sixteenth century

Hello Josef,
I don't know anything about the scanning process and can only offer my opinion on the quality of the picture as a simple viewer. I think the quality is superb and nothing is lost of the intricate and attractive details on the gate, the view through it and the fascinating play of light and shadow on part of it and in the foreground. I love the brightness of the light and the softness of the shadow as well as the movement of the three people on the same route. The perspective is superb. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Ourania

Hi Josef,
The sky maybe a bit overexposed and dull in color, but the gate looks great in the shadows.
Good management of light and shadows, producing pleasing color tones with fine sharpness. very well done.TFS.
Cheers
