Photographer's Note

This shot shows the courtyard of the Nasir ol Molk mosque. The 7 wooden doors with the stained glass windows are located in the right. 2 of them are seen in the photo.
The ceiling in the fore ground displays another important architectural feature of this mosque which is called Panj Kaseh (five concaves).
The south porch with its 2 finials are seen in the back ground. The tiles dominant color is pink.

Nasir-ol-Molk who was one of the elite of Shiraz, is the founder of this mosque. It is unique for its tile work and architecture. The mosque was built during the Qājār era and within 12 years (1876-1888).
