Photographer's Note
The games began as simple farm games when farm workers and animals enjoyed teasing and fighting with the bulls. The oldest written record of a bull game in Arles dates from 1402, when a race was organized in honor of Louis II, Count of Provence. Later, at the end of the 19th century, the game became less cruel and it was only men who “played” with the bulls : objects (flowers, scarves, red-white-and-blue ribbons, cocardes displaying the ranch colors) were attached to the bull’s horns to be snatched by young amateurs.

As a sports action photographer I appreciate this image very much! Timing is perfect and I love the people in the background watching the action. Not single person in the audience is looking somewhere else. About the only thing I would like to see a little better would be the bull's face and his eye. I can tell he has a pretty serious look on his face.
Good job!

Superb action shot, dear Hoang. You were in just the right position. Light and colour are very good too, but it's the dramatic positions of man and bull that really stand out.
Have a fine week & thanks for sharing.

Hi Hoang
what an impressive picture with a lot of dynamism. Movement of man and bull are captured very well. The light give a good atmosphere and the red palissade give magnificent color to the picture. Congratulations.
Best regards.

hello Hoang
Hope you had fun! Decisive moment and very good POV to freeze the action of take off, but the colors of your shot seem to be dull. I propose you my vision in WS

hi Hoang,
there are two kinds of events I have always dreamed of shooting: a boxing match and a bullfight. although the bullfighting in itself is not really what I am interested in, it's more the interaction between the audience and the arena that fascinates me - you have captured this moment, this interaction very well, freezing the action between the bull, the man and the people watching.
I personally find the colours perfect, they look so real!
the focus and the details are spot-on - my compliments!

the timing and the sense of animal's fury is what matters here, I can literally feel the shock wave from the movement of the beast. you have captured the drama of the moment perfectly. also, I think the colours are just perfect, not toy-like shiny and new, but a little on the darker side to fit the mood. nicely done.
best,
Kristine

Bonjour,
Superbe photo ! On est vraiment au coeur de l'action et on a chaud pour lui ! Une image très bien exposée -cela ne devait pas être simple- et bien nette. Une grande réussite.
