Photographer's Note

Just back from a nice weekend in Thun spent with current and former TE members. Unfortunately the weather was bad so we spent more time eating and drinking than taking photos. This was by the Aar River.

De retour d'un weekend sympathique à Thoune passé en compagnie des membres actuels et anciens du TE. Malheureusement il faisait mauvais, donc nous avons passé plus de temps en train de manger et boire que de prendre des photos. Voici une image prise au bord de la rivière Aar.

Une belle photo d'un bon graphisme.
J'aime bien ce genre de composition. C'est simple mais comme toufours il faut y penser et il faut voir ce genre de détail.

Interesting graphic image. The rich yellow color standout against grey pavement. Good approach with low vantage point and the use of wideangle lens to get close to the figs. Great detail, sharpness, texture and depth. Good sense of photography, congrats and thks for sharing

Effectivement la cohabitation sur cette piste risque d'être un peu difficile!
Joli coup d'oeil de ta part et excellente mise en scène avec l'utilisation de la diagonale.
Un très beau travail!
J'imagine votre journée s'il a fait le même temps qu'à Paris! Aussi enthousiasmant qu'un 1er Novembre!!!

Hi Nikki,

This is a very sharp and well-composed photo of the street markings and the vent. The excellent perspective creates the feeling that the photo is on a slope, while the vibrant colors give good contrast.

Quand le ciel est bouché, on se rabat sur les bouches d'égout -) Quel coup d'œil!Super cadrage et chouettes couleurs.

I love taking pavement details - the contrasts and your composition here is great - the manhole cover is a fantastic addition to the abstract quality of the image.

Extra Nikki ! Elle en jette dans la galerie ta photo. Les marques au sol ressortent drôlement bien, à croire que la couche de peinture venait d'être passée. Le bitume souvent inesthétique est très bien mis en valeur ici.
Très bon cadrage qui donne beaucoup de dynamique à cette prise.
Du bon travail ! Une photo graphique comme je les aime.

Hi Nikki,
Such a simple composition and so attractive! The yellow signs contrast so well with the pavement and this diagonal is a good option here. very well seen. when the weather is not favourable you have to be more creative and often see more interesting details.

une bonne image graphique, bien composée, dans un sens diagonal. Un bon contraste de couleur (jaune - grise)
Elle fait penser à la compatibilité des cyclistes et des piétons.

Je la préfère en jaune... je l'aurais beaucoup aimée orange... (la couleur de la réconciliation ? lol)

Another striking and creatively composed shot with much graphical impact. I like the way you angled this in the frame. Great simple colour combination.
Very cold and grey here in Melbourne today, I'm afraid. As it was on Saturday, when the Dees performed very well but didn't quite make it. At least the days of shame are behind the.

Hi Nikki,
You see, this us what I like about this site, somthing like this would have gone unnotice by many and here you are making a very interesting image of it, ina rather artistic way with the tilted angle, I like the contrast between the dry and wet spot of the floor and the yellow side certainly is outtanding and very strong in its graphic elements. Once again a very well observed and nicely executed shot.

Off to the North for the long weekend and maybe part of Death Valley, part that I have not been.

great idea to add this photo to your collection.
perhaps in the natural straight up and down compo it wouldn't have been as appealing - i like the angled compo which gives it more of a kick.
