Photographer's Note

Nomadic people are the people who move from one place to another, rather than settling permanently in one location. Migration is a way of life for nomads in which herding cattle is the basis of economic life. Changing of location and migrating of human groups are two outstanding characteristics of nomadic life.

In such annual or seasonal migration, nomads move from their winter resort locations to summer grazing lands with their animals and move back to their winter resort locations again when it gets cold.

The shot shows a family in their spring migration. The river in the BG is Zayandeh Rood.

nice the snapshot from these nomadic people,crossing the road and going from one place to another.Before years there were the same phenomenon here in Greece,especially with shepherds during the changes of the seasons.

I am fascinated with all of the details in this composition, the donkeys carrying the household goods, the man and woman walking, the son riding the only horse, the purposeful stride of the dog, the river valley and the mountain behind. The light management and sharpness is good throughout.

This scene reminds me of a movie. It is an excellent exotic photo, but in reality it is humbling to see the modest belongings of this family being transported by the donkeys. Their lifestyle is not easy. The soft color and light add to the drama and atmosphere. It is extremely well done.
