Photographer's Note

I KNOW ....I Know what you are going to say next? I can hear you saying it. " I thought you had said you were not going to post another Cricket Image!!"

I was going through my albums of millions of images of cricket and came across this one I took at a school sports cricket festival.. and just thought I would sneak it in..

These lads were playing their own version of the Final of the Cricket World cup ( see the flags on the nets).. This world cup was being "played " in England and it was "England" against "Australia" in the final and Australia needed one more run ( point) to win..???

"England" players were estatic with their win thanks to a superb piece of fielding thanks to the player in the bottom Right hand corner..

For those who do not know the game, or may not fully understand the rules - my apologies for briefly describing the last few minutes of this game in such brief short words.. It unfortunatley takes a lifetime to understand such a game.. especially when it can last 5 days and there is still no winner at the end of it..

Here are a brief description on how to play the game:

Cricket is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players. 15 players are selected to form each "squad" and 11 players are selected from that squad. Each team has its own captain, multiple batsmen, multiple bowlers and other players acting as fielders. It is a bat-and-ball game played on a roughly elliptical grass field, in the centre of which is a flat strip, called a pitch.
