""We can only be creative to the extent that we are willing to risk being crazy. These fragments reside, after all, in the same part of the mind-soul which gives us inspiration and creative ideas. The aha's of life. With autonomy, sometimes these personalities do crazy and stupid things, usually out of rage for something which has been forgotten by everyone except the injured alter ego.
A lifetime of being a clerk, banker, middle manager, insurance claims adjuster or even a CPA. You get the idea. The point is, a great deal of our creative talent is trapped within these personality fragments.
Our creativity is held hostage, in a way, by our subconscious alter egos. We can access our creativity and allow the alter ego out so long as the main personality remains in charge and is aware of everything the alter ego does. Then the only problem may be the urge to explain stepping out of character.
For us ordinary folks, the danger of the alter ego taking charge does not exist. Multiple personality disorder is very rare. In most people these alter ego personalities are two dimensional and no threat to our stability. It's just a little bit of craziness."" - Willie Gaffer.

Hello Sayeed,
An intriguing and strong photo, that leaves the viewer with a lot of uncertainty, maybe bad at ease, and room for questions and interpretation. I appreciated your note too.

wow, very good one, the blur excellently captures the mood of trance, religion and that the person maybe is a bit in another world.
Great one !

Get rid of that white line, Sayeed...only black around this superb catch of yours. Keep borders more simple...Imagine these photographs hanging on a wall...
A fascinating series for which I compliment you. I wanted to say it.
And no, not coming back...:-). *But you could come and join PH ?
Kind regards

Selam Sayeed,
though a tough subject to comment on, on behalf of me Orhan Pamuk, world-famous author of Turkish literature, has a couple of words about this 'alter ego' issue... just read and tell me if we're on the same line brother?
"From a very young age, I suspected there was more to my world than I could see: Somewhere in the streets of Istanbul, in a house resembling ours, there lived another Orhan so much like me that he could pass for my twin, even my double. I can’t remember where I got this idea or how it came to me. It must have emerged from a web of rumors, misunderstandings, illusions, and fears. But in one of my earliest memories, it is already clear how I’ve come to feel about my ghostly other"... from the book Istanbul
as far as technical features are concerned, the shot is simply amazing Sayeed. keep posting,

Hi Sayeed
I could write many words below the photograph.
Yes ... the photograph, not a picture or footka ...
But what for ?
Such photograph shouldn't be surrounded with many words.
It's unnecessary ... Right ?
For sure right ...
Let me say, it's a small pearl in your albums.
And once again, I say, go further this road ...
You are worth it ... :-)))
P.S. Let me say to repeat oneself ... The inner frame; in my opinion should be more delicate - max. 1px and ... in one colour :-)
Take care my friend

My friend,
what can I say about this one? With my silly english, whatever I write would not be enough to translate how scared, amazed and impressed I am. Long time that I don't see such impactant photography in this site. I'm the third person to mark this as favorite. Keep influencing the others :)

Hi Sayeed
A very strange photo. A very beautiful treatment which shows outstandingly the atmosphere of this kind of procession.
For me, this composition reminds me certain Goya's paintings at the end of its life even if colors are different.
Like this one: La romera de San Isidoro

Hello Sayeed,
This is a psychedelic image with excellent use of light, as are the last few in your series. The note also is engaging and informative.

...what have i done to deserve this? except being a regular lucky guy on TE who might have been dedicated a photo?...
a photo. any photo???
it is interesting to see many things in here: many faces evoking so many memoirs, even facedoubles of people i know (or have known) personally! here, the keyword is simple: "evoking" or "to evoke" (much different than showing obviously). it evokes, then it gives a direct hit to subconscious, recalls some memories, with symbols or styles, then subconscious invokes conscious, then your personal outcome becomes a direct hit for my very own innerself. not easy. not all the time you can make someone say "this is it!". it is difficult like the act of a poet "creating a special poem for someone". there is no way that the poet knows you in person, but contrarily enough and most interestingly, he has found THE words that describe some part of your inner world much better than you could do with your own words...
with the help of some hints i gave you, you knew it, didn't you? you told me you knew it ;)
thanks so much. you made my day...

And this one is a pearl in the series.
Very expressive and impressive.
His deformed Baconstyle face - ecstasy personified or something like that...
Great capture.

Hi Sayeed
even with colors you manage to do great photo jobs. This one looks like a painting, definitely unusual for TE, a pic I really like, so different, so effective to tell what you wanted to tell us.
Have a good day

I remember I wanted to comment on this photo, but I was already in the airport, and, of course, the batery of the laptop lasted for 10 sec after I opened this image, I bet it got scared :)
really powerful stuff, Sayeed, by far the best I've seen in your series. as if suddenly somebody has removed my glasses/veil, and I catch my doppelgänger by surprise, he hadn't been expecting me to be able to see him... I am absolutely fascinated by this image, hat off.
best,
Kristine

Hi Sayeed,
The mega-pimped ISO setting produces such a great effect. I love playing with the 'wrong' settings to create an exciting effect (although the TOS don't always agree).
But, this result is stunning, it reminds me of a story an Australian friend told me after he visited a Sahdu when he was in India, he said after he spent some time with the Sahdu the night rolled on into a blurred mess of people and heated light..this image seems to visualise that story to me. I love it.
Cheers
Justin
