Pic taken outside the Luxor Temple.
Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the River Nile in the city today known as Luxor (ancient Thebes) and was founded in 1400 BC.

Known in the Egyptian language as ipet resyt, or "the southern harem", the temple was dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut, and Chons and was built during the New Kingdom, the focus of the annual Opet Festival, in which a cult statue of Amun was paraded down the Nile from nearby Karnak Temple (ipet-isut) to stay there for a while, with his consort Mut, in a celebration of fertility – whence its name.

very nice moment that the man is passing by the coloumns of the temple.. and i like the softness of the light.. one thing, i wish you could press the button earlier, because the man is so centered.. best wishes,

Those egyptian pictures in your gallery are simply awesome!!!!!! Again you composed the image so superbly, including the moving human figure that perfectly contrasts with the ancient ruins (past and present and all that jazz...). In addititon to that, sharpness, exposure, colors and pp are all excellent!

Ciao, ragazzo. Che bella immagine intelligente, con l'uomo che cammina deciso e forse anche a passo rapido, sul contraltare delle antichissime colonne inamovibili da millenni. E dove andrà, che cosa penserà, quest'uomo che mai conosceremo? Avrà sogni, speranze, una vita felice? Non lo sapremo mai. Di lui conosciamo soltanto il suo passo.

compositivamente preferisco che il soggetto non occupi mai il centro della foto. A parte questo trovo la tua composizione davvero splendida, con questo magico mix tra storia e cultura!

Bel colpo Luciano,

foto molto intensa per colori contrasto e effetto grafico. Molto piacevole interessante come soggetto.

Come ho scritto nella nota alla mia ultima foto, mi prendo la mia solita pausa estiva dato che sarò prevalentemente in barca.

Beau rythme et extraordinaire impression!
Je suis toujours fascinée quand je me promène à Rome ou à Athènes dans une ville moderne et antique en même temps. J'adore ce fantastique contraste. Certainement le contraste est encore plus fort en Egypte où les constructions anciennes sont colossales!
Ta photo est parfaitement composé, la succession des graphismes différents est excellente et je te félicite d'avoir gardé l'alternance horizontale des couleurs du bord du trottoir!

Bonjour Luciano,
j'aime vraiment bien les couleurs de ces pierres, certes usées par le temps mais pas trop noires de pollution.
De la dynamique apporté par ce personnage dont on devine bien le pas.
Tout cela dans des lumières douces et chaudes et bien équilibrées.

Bella la luce che filtra tra le colonne.
Non posso che complimentarmi, per la scelta di includere il bordo del marciapiede come elemento Bianconero dello scatto... :)))

il passante nel suo caratteristico abbigliamento è perfetto per questo scenario fatto di antichissime colonne.
Mi piace la luce che batte sulle colonne, le modella e le rende più...rotonde.

Lepo pokazano, dobar kontrast, lepe boje, lepo uhvacen trenutak sa prolaznikom.
Lepa ograda i stara arhitektura. Lep deo hrama.
