O barco rabelo é uma embarcação portuguesa, típica do Rio Douro que tradicionalmente transportava as pipas de Vinho do Porto do Alto Douro, onde as vinhas se localizam, até Vila Nova de Gaia, onde o vinho era armazenado e, posteriormente, comercializado.
Sendo um barco de rio de montanha, o rabelo não tem quilha e é de fundo chato, com um comprimento entre os 19 e 23 metros. A sua construção, de tábuas sobrepostas, tábua trincada, é nórdica, em comparação com a do Mediterrâneo.

The boat rabelo is a Portuguese, typical boat of the River Douro that traditionally carried the pipes from Wine of the Port of the High Douro, where the vines if locates, until New Village of Gaia, where the wine was stored e, later, commercialized. Being a boat of mountain river, rabelo does not have keel and is of deep flat, with a length between the 19 and 23 meters. Its construction, of overlapped boards, trincada board, is Scandinavian, in comparison with the one of the Mediterranean.
