Photographer's Note
An alpaca and a lama in the altiplano (State of Puno)
When we evoke Peru, we think punctually of an Amerindian with his lama lost in the Altiplano. But the chain of the Andes has a considerable importance for all other regions.
The chain of mountain of high height influences climate with its non-existent precipitation of the pacific coast and generous side of the Amazonian side. Both regions are irrigated well by andines rivers.
But today the accelerated meltingcast of the glaciers of the Andes (which put off 200 m in 10 years) compromises the climatic balance of this region and also the planet. The threat is such as the pilgrimage to the glacier of the Ausangate in the state of Cusco was cancelled "wisely" to preserve the ice which was usually taken to bring the sacred water in the village.

Hola Didier,
Muyy bonito retrato de estas alpacas, me gusta mucho la monocromaticidad de la foto, yo cortaria un poco el cielo, fuera de eso la foto esta estupenda.

Very nice dichromatic composition. I like how you got the alpaca and lama next to the adobe house, all with similar colors, while the sky was uniformly blue and uninterrupted.
A shot a bit from the left, with the house almost frontal to the camera, and cutting out the rocks could have been quite interesting as well.
I don't see the relation of your title with the picture and the note though... But interesting note!
