Photographer's Note
Late afternoon at Machu Picchu. By this time of day there are a lot of people visiting the ruins but it's still possible to get the shot if you're patient.
They say that May is a good month to visit the area because it's past the rainy season and before the heavy June-September tourist season. We found both to be true.

this is a very neat composition Gregory! Your patience with the tourists payed of! My only concern is that despite of the beautiful light the colors in the Foreground seems to be a little bit dull, but this can be fixed in PP. (I'll submit a workshop).
Kind Regards, Jan

Hello Gregory. My compliments for this successful shot. You've picked out an interesting detail of Machu Picchu with the camera. Composition, light and colors are best. Very nice. Regards, Wolfgang.

Hello Gregory,
This is a beautiful, vertical presentation of the ruins. I like that you have the stone structure in between the grassy steps and wonderful blue sky. I also like the contrast between the long diagonal of smaller steps, and the larger ones to the left.
