Photographer's Note

The Chapel of San Antonio is located on the Hill of San Antonio in Santiago de Cali. In the mid-eighteenth century, the city of Santiago de Cali, had less than 5,000 inhabitants, extending to the hill of San Antonio. In the main church of San Pedro existed a chapel dedicated to San Antonio de Padua, which was frequented by the faithful in the mass on Sundays and holidays. In the year 1742, faced with the difficulties faced by the faithful to attend the mass in the main church, the parish priest José de Alegría built this chapel on the Hill of San Antonio.

Un cadrage classique mais toujours très efficace. La contre plongée est douce et elle donne une belle ampleur à cette charmante petite église. Le ciel est magnifique comme arrière plan.

Hello Sergio,
It is a very attractive small chapel in a style that looks unusual to me. It's like the entrance and the attached small tower don't really belong with the rest of the façade. But the chapel is nicely situated on the low hill and you were lucky to have a remarkably pretty sky that day. The colours are well saturated and the sharpness is excellent.

Hello Sergio,

Well framed and composed with he coconut tree at right and the bell-tower at left perfectly positioned on the vertical 1/3 axis points. Good sharpness and color. The 2 empty benches add symmetry. I like the stepped pyramid shape of the stairs. Tfs!

A good photo of this chapel, I very much like the contrast between the brick parts and the white walls. The steps and the palm tree are well included in the foreground and the blue sky with the large white clouds form a perfect backdrop.

Heloo Sergio, Beautiful view of this small church in colonial style. Lovely composition and delightful colours.
But what is the sense of such a big picture that we have to see in another window? it is better to resize it and post in such a size that it is sharp in the page.

Una capilla bastante simpática y con una arquitectura asimétrica que se ve muy bonita, y captada con muy buena iluminación y colores! Me gustan los tonos de verde de la vegetación y principalmente el azul del cielo, que hace un muy buen contraste con el paisaje! Lindo trabajo!

Me encanta esta pequeña capilla, a la cual la escalinata da mas relevancia, ideal el entorno que embellece la foto, con la palmera y demas grandes arboles. Un espectacular cielo tambien.

well, with some care and attention to it, it has certainly lasted the length of time from 1742. Looks great, a combination of stone on the front gives it so much character.
