Photographer's Note

Lagunas Miñiques and Miscanti have an incredible blue color. They are surrounded by dry and stony soil. In the background we have mountains of more than 5600 meters of altitude. The two lagoons are in the same park, very close to each other. The lagoons are at 4200 meters above sea level, so we have a very cool place, even with strong sun.

I am sucker for crisp clear colors and contrasts... and this photo has just that :P

Nice balanced composition and POV.
Like I mentioned, the stark contrast between the pale colors of the ground and the deep blue water and sky is amazing.
