Photographer's Note
Late aftermoon in the valley of the moon, Atacama desert, Chile. People are gathering on top of the sand dunes to watch the change of colours across the sands. If you look carefully you may see little dust clouds as the wind stirs up the sand, blowing gritty particles into eyes, noses (and cameras!).
To see this place at sunset see my earlier posting 'walking on the moon'.

Hi Karina !
Good view of the Atacama. The shadows on the sand give us a good idea of the position of the sun and present a good effect on the sand.
May be the people could be a little closer to the camera... in my point of view it would improve the composition. But it's my personal opinion, and taste of course.
Congratulations !

Nice composition, however slightly dark. The definition and colours are very nice. Congratulations ..

Hello, Karina,
There are some very stark contrasts here, I'm guessing you uppped the contrast. It makes for an interesting view. I like the texture you bought out in the sand in the foreground.
Best wishes,
Matt

Hi Karina, wow, an ocean-wave alike sand waves. I like the strong contrast in this photo to show the environment where the sand dunes located. Nice DOF to show the texture of the sands. The blue sky and the blue mountain in distance view are beautiful, which make good contrast with the red sand.

Beautiful the deep colours of the evening falling over this deserted landscape. Great blue and purple tones in the shadowpart.

Hi Karina. This is a prize. I love the ripples in the sand and the manner in which the eye takes us into the scene, following the people. Good contrasts and colour hues. Dramatic - and very well seen and captured.

Another very interesting shot from you. Most people would like to cut out the tourists from the dunes to create an effect of desolation. Not you...you have decided to capture the truth of your visit. Good photo.

Wooow these sandunes are wonderful, i like the set of shades and lights you have captured. The sky is also perfectly blue. The presence of those people show us how many the place looks like huge.
Very nice shot Karina.
Have a nice day.

Of course it's a very nice landscape shot, but I am also a fan of your inclusion of the out of place tourists for a realistic touch. It would be interesting if you had a touristy leg in shorts and Nike's in the forground too (in mid-step).
Cheers

Hi Karina. This is an impressive shot! I love the textures you've achieved here. You've also chosen the perfect pov next to the ridgeline which shows the length very well, plus you see those great shadows. Well done Karina!

Hi Karina,
This is a nice POV.
It would have been nicer if it were not so much oversaturated. When a see so much purple colors just to get a very nice sky, I think it is sad...
If you tell me that these are real unmodified purple colors, I will give one more point for sure! :-)
