Photographer's Note

A storm was arriving furious and I was alone in this huge avenue, these streets are closed at Sundays and the locals can use bikes and walk or have fun.
Here I found Renato Russo Cultural Space. He was a famous band leader of one of the most important rock bands in Brazil during the 1980's. He was famous by his lyrics and was killed by AIDS. Renato Russo was from Brasília and even his work was very linked with the city in the initial part of his career.
In the façade we have a mural being created, you can see the stars and swallows created by Athos Bulcão, the same I showed you in a chapel before, in the right corner you can see a portrait of Burle Marx, the most important landscaper of Brazil, the same who created that crystal sculpture I showed few weeks ago. Here we can see only a small part of the façade, it was so long and even with a portrait of the singer. You can hear one of his songs bellow, it is an old video:
"What Country is it ?" is a big criticism about Brazil, the song was composed by Russo when Brazil was crossing a terrible moral-economic crisis and hearing the lyrics it is ever current.
