Open your Eyes, a photo from Bahia, Northeast

Photographer's Note

When Portuguese ship arrived in this region, they were wwarned to "open their eyes" (abrir os olhos - abrolhos) and take care with the reefs which were difficult to be seen, consisting of dangerous traps to the sailors, many of whom went down. Today Abrolhos is a Natural Reserve, where many natural beauties can be seen, especially underwater. We can dive in wonderful shipwrecks and see great species, going back in time.

En effet, les lieux semblent magiques et donnent envie de tout quitter pour rejoindre ce site extraordinaire.
Quant aux marins, les récifs devront être évités pour ne pas subir un échouement.
Très belle prise de vue donnant une impression de relief.

Dear Fabiano,
Great POV on this historical coast of Bahia ! Beautiful, blue sea and sky. Nice rocky beach in the foreground. Interesting peninsula, almost island in the background. The black and white lighthouse and the palm trees make it light and elegant.
Your note accompanying the picture makes us want to go diving there.

The intriguing title had a nice explanation in the note, Fabiano.
Great daylight had enhanced the scenery of blue sea, and the lighttower 7 hill's on far side with palm trees sided, and the grey rocks shores in close range.
Good DOF and clarity collected.

Uma composição esplêndida e muito bonita, em que o mar de um azul profundo, capta a nossa atenção, POV muito bom, com estas pedras em primeiro plano e outra para a linha de fundo da costa, com falésias e farol no ponto, mas elevado.

A fresh looking coastal scape with the prominent lighthouse dominates proudly in lovely rich colors and superbly standout. This is a splendid shot with fantastic detail and fabulous viewpoint with much interest in the fg as well. The exposure is managed well, great detail and good overall contrast. A very well done image and your effort is well paid off, Congrats.

The distance between the two shores is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the sea and of the scenery. Thew good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

An interesting story about the place's name origin! Now it is for photographers and nature lovers to "open their eyes!"
Nice depth here with the different layers and levels. Good light, colours and sharpness too.

I like the point of view and composition,
because the layers and the stones on the
forground creates a nice depth and the
open space makes the picture nice

muito bonita e rara esta vista de abrolhos. gostei do enquadramento onde vc apanha as pedras no primeiro plano e mostra o costão da ilha mais além com seu farol. bem feito.

You're capturing well this landscape by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the rocky beach, beautiful/calm blue sea and the peninsula with lighthouse on the other side. Here looks like the place where the heart is rested.
