Lovely colors, wonderful composition, and the soft focus works well for the mood and feel of this photo, in my opinion. I like the bright ring on the upper petal, too. Somehow, it works to portray an ideal in naure that isn't quite reachable--that's the feeling I get. Nice work.

The DOF works very well. The blurred background really lifts the flower effortlessly. This would have been a green smiley if I only had enough of them to give (it looks like the site has limits to the number of smileys one can give in a day)
