Photographer's Note

This is probably the most modern, large and beautiful house in my town. It is located in the same block where I was born and when I was a little boy I was ever crossing this corner going down to school.
When I was born there was only a building in bricks in the whole town, the rest of the buildings, including the church, was made of timber. Nowadays the timber houses are being extinct and we lost amazing samples of timber architecture I have only in my memory.
My town suffered a severe depression time after the terrible "black frost" of 1975, when the coffee plantations were totally destroyed and most of rural population moved away, this hard time was mixed with very bad municipal administrations and around twenty years ago things begun to change. A curious aspect is the quantity of the new villages, streets and new houses we saw being built in these last two decades, this is only a sample.
I like the geometric design of the house with the horizontal and vertical rectangles mixed. This remind me the days I wanted to be an architect.
Maybe an error, or not, it is the position of the main windows, the sunset area is located at right and watching in that direction you can see a wide horizon, 100 km away.
