Photographer's Note

In the summer this African grass (Brachiaria brizantha) native from Congo and Kenia, became very green and begun to form its seeds, what give the cows more weight to face the hard days of winter.
These kind of white heron is native from Africa, southern Europe, here it is named cow's-heron (Bubulcus ibis). As I told you before nobody know how it crossed the Atlantic and arrived in Caribbean Sea. (for some reason the image here isn't so sharp, the original is perfect).

No verão essa variedade de capim africano (Brachiaria brizantha), nativo do Congo e do Quênia, solta suas sementes e isso dá mais peso ao gado, preparando-o para os dias difíceis do inverno.
Essa é a garça-boiadeira (Bubulcus ibis), nativa da África e do sul da Europa. Como já disse antes, ninguém sabe como elas atravessaram o Atlântico e chegaram ao Caribe.
