Series on my trip to the CHAPADA DIAMANTINA (DIAMOND MOUNTAIN RANGE) - State of BAHIA - The NORTHEASTERN REGION of BRAZIL - From August 1st to 9th, 2009 - # 057!

FEDERAL ROAD BR-242 with the CAMEL MOUNT IN THE BACKGROUND !

The BR-242 is the main road that goes thru the region of the CHAPADA DIAMANTINA/DIAMOND MOUNTAIN RANGE, from east to west (There are plenty of other secondary ones)!
It's got a pretty heavy traffic, specially big trucks and it's certainly a dangerous one! Everytime, during my stay, I had to be there in a car or in a smaller truck (a Toyotta 4x4 for example), I was sort of afraid! I mean... I was very scared!!! Lots of ups and downs and curves!!!

Here in this picture, one can see it, one of the big trucks and the MORRO DO CAMELO/CAMEL MOUNT!

Every morning, the weather was sort of rainy, with cloudy sky and that's why here I couldn't get a better sky - it's really washed out!
