Photographer's Note

These are the 'Sol de Mañana' mud solfatars (thanks fayeulle) and geysers (5000m), about an hours drive from Laguna Colarado on the altiplano jeep safari. We arrived here shortly after sunrise and it certainly was a haven for experimenting with your camera.
This place is characterized for its intense volcanic activity and the emission of gases. One can observe boiling lava in the craters and the gas vapors that are let out reaching an altitude of 10 to 50 meters; this phenomenon allows us to appreciate a landscape that goes back in time to the creation of the earth.
