Photographer's Note
Paul asked me if I saw Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat) waterfall in Iguazu. I was lucky to see it. It is on the Argentinian side.
Upon seeing Iguazu, the United States First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt reportedly exclaimed, "Poor Niagara!"(which, at 50 m or 165 feet, are a third shorter). Often, Iguazu also is compared with Victoria Falls in Southern Africa, which separates Zambia and Zimbabwe. Iguazu is wider but is split into roughly 275 distinct falls and large islands, whereas Victoria has the largest curtain of water in the world, at more than 1,600 m wide and over 100 m in height.(Wikipedia).
Iguazu boasts 275 distinct waterfalls plus large islands.
Devil’s Throat itself is the main attraction. It drops more than 262 feet into a creamy white pool that’s indistinguishable because of the permanent mist that forms thanks to the powerful water flow. The curtain contains 14 falls total and is shaped like a horseshoe.
You’ll start your journey via the Jungle Train to the Devil’s Throat Station or picking up a rental car. From there, on foot, you’ll take a footbridge of 3,600 feet that leads to the immense waterfalls. It’s a safe, quiet, level bridge that’s wheelchair accessible. The platform at the end offers incredible views of the falls.

A fantastic take, Malgo, great sense of powerful motion and I can imagine the roar of water from so close point.
The complementary WS's are no-less imposing sights.
Have a nice new week,
Ike

Hello Malgo,
When I was there the footbridge had not yet been repaired after being destroyed during severe floodings. So I didn't have this view.
Without even seeing this Garganta del Diablo, Iguazu was an amazing place. I believe that here the most impressive and most beautiful waterfalls in the world can be seen. We then stayed there for several days and found it incomprehensible how some of the visitors just came to take a look and a picture and then left.
Your photos in the WS are great too, especially the second one showing how calm the water is before it crashes.
We also followed the current upstream and were amazed how calmly the water flowed. Although it was a fairly wide river, nothing did suspect us that it would lead to these amazing waterfalls hundreds of meters further.
I suppose it was a thunderous roar where you stood to take your main photo. Presumably there was so much water in the air that you got wet. I remember that we got all wet by just walking around (and not even getting close to this Devil's Throat).
We were there in July and unfortunately it wasn't warm at all. Apparently, South Brazil has a few days every year with a real cold front and unfortunately just when we were there :(
I guess it was hot during your visit in February.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Malgo,
This is an incredible view, really more impressive than anything I remember from Victoria Falls. Both WS are also very good. As a composition #2 is the best, even though it's only indirectly dramatic (we know what will happen very soon).
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Malgo,
The waterfall is impressive. The point of view is showing the details of the Devil's Throat waterfall. The light is giving good colors output. Have a nice day.

Hello Malgo, three excellent pictures that give us a real impression of the falls. Your notes are very informative in explaining the differences between the major falls of the world, and also describing what we are seeing here.
The only thing missing is the sound of the rushing water!
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Malgo,
This angle very close to the fall is very impressive! Water just roars down everywhere, and I can almost hear it. This is a little underexposed, but colour of water is well visible.

Hello Malgorzata,
Beautiful photo of Iguazu Falls. I already had the opportunity to visit them when they had very little water and other days with a lot of water. As it is close to my city, about 800 kilometers is a place that I usually visit on some long holidays, as we have already taken the opportunity to shop in Paraguay, where several products are much cheaper than in Brazil. In addition to the traditional walkway I have also done the boat tour under the waterfalls and also the helicopter tour. But I never took the tour on the side of the Argentine catwalks. Anyway, this is a place that would still return several times.
Best Regards

Hi Malgo
3 dazzling photos of the falls. Do they ever try stupid stuff like going over the falls as with Niagara?
cheers

Hello Malgo,
This is one enormous waterfall!
The amount of water gushing over the precipice is immense!
I like how you have captured it so closely, so that we feel almost able to touch it!
The rising mist gives a good impression of the depth.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Malgo,
Not a body of water for sailing boats, jetskis or barrels as at Niagara. Good sharpness and nice motion blur of the cascading water. Tfs!

Hi Malgorzata
Awesome and dramatic plus a bit moody so to speak! I am sure you've used a pouch to keep the camera dry and the feeling of power within the image is immense. I can almost hear the roar of the water! Excellent shot

Czesc Malgo
Tym razem imponujace wodospady od strony Argentyny. Ciekawe czy kiedykolwiek ta mgla opada... moze przy bardzo malym poziomie wody, ale wtedy podejrzewam jest tylko mniejsza.
Dobre kadry, ciekawa prezentacja
pozdrawiam
Piotr
