"village people" was back, a photo from Buenos Aires, South

Photographer's Note

During a politic manifestation in Buenos Aires, the crowd was so huge, the government called for cops to keep the Pink House (equivalent to the US White House) safe.
So, one could see cops everywhere...

And there was I, as a tourist, dreaming as if I was playing the game like a photojournalist, a camera sniper, wondering what could be the best shots to convey and to register the manifestation.

Well, I wasn't used to that sort of climax, so I feared the hot situation a bit. I got closer to these cops, I got my gear together, I rushed, I pointed, I shot them and I went straight back to the hotel.

Later, watching the photo, I started laughing on my own. These cops, they were more like Village People reforming the 70's band than the bad boys i've imagined...

funny note, but your nervousness shows on your photo as the subject not so sharp, but then I like their look as if they will snap you in a minute. very good experience..but you should have crop the photo to get rid of the men at the back and focus on the policemen in-front.

Oh Bruno, such a funny shot! I was browsing the gallery and said "hey, I know these guys!". I've been watching at them since I was a kid, in the 'not funny 70s'...
I understand your fear, they're not really "gentlemen", so to say.. But the poses are just amazing, a bizare look !

A note on police and photos: always err on the side of caution, but when they have their mobile phones stuck to their belt it generally means they are not expecting trouble and unlikely to baton charge you (otherwise they might lose their phone). ;)
