Photographer's Note

A little story with this image.
This piano was left on the top of a sand dune overlooking the beach and no-one knows how it got there. Well someone does but he aint saying. Anyway it just appeared one day on the dune overlooking the beach.
It’s been on the TV news and in magazine articles but still silence. It’s becoming a bit of a tourist attraction, in a small way.
Located about ½ an hours walk along Turakina beach from the settlement of Koitiata. The walk is well worth the effort even if there is no piano to draw you as there is a mass of bleached driftwood of all shapes and sizes to catch your attention along with fishermen and other walkers to say hi to. Everyone stops for a chat. And of course there is the usual beach wildlife.
In WS a general view of the beach and driftwood.
Enjoy and have a good weekend.
Cheers, Paul.
