Moon Trek, a photo from Central Plateau, North Island

Photographer's Note

My mate on the Tongariro Northern Circuit Track after a small Snowfall.
I like this photo because he seems coming from nowhere and the volcanic and snowy landscape looks like the moon.
The shadow of post on the foreground looks like a finish line for a tired tramper :)
I think this one may need some photoshop adjustment but i'm not very good at that exercise so feel free to modify this photo and give me some advices.

I agree with you about the lunar aspect of the landscape. It's a nice capture. This volcanic place was one of my fav. in NZ.

This looks an unusual place, some how snow seems out of place; it looks like it should be hot here. Great shot.

I like the texture of the earth and the colour of the sky (I was not so lucky in Tongariro). Maybe the composition is a bit too 'centered' and there's a lot of sky.... How would it have looked like shot closer to the 'moon' surface? Anyway good shot.
