Photographer's Note

A clear and cold winter morning at the picturesque Dunedin Railway station. Twenty years earlier there would have been regular steam train departures here, but the sale of the whole New Zealand railway network to a North American company combined with the increased affordability of motor vehicles eventually brought about the demise of passenger rail services in the South Island. Taken with a Nikon F2 camera and a Nikkor MF 28mm, on Kodak Tri-X film.
